Brooke and Grace, the bonded pair of burro buddies arrived at our sanctuary in 2017. Their story has become a testament to friendship, resilience, and the transformative power of love. Whether playing in the fields with their canine companions or simply enjoying each other's company, these two donkeys are a testament to the magic of companionship. In every venture, every camp, they are side by side, a true reflection of the spirit of togetherness. Gracie, nearing 20 years, and Brooke, at 13, embody the beauty of age and experience.

Brooke and Grace's arrival at The Random Ranch was not without its challenges. Initially discovered with hooves so long they curled towards their legs, both were pregnant. Unfortunately, Gracie's foal did not survive, and Brooke's little one found a new home with another loving family. Despite their challenging beginnings, the sanctuary provided a haven of healing and care.
