📣The Random Ranch - Animal Sanctuary is interviewing for potential board members and/or volunteers, specifically to help us fundraise!!
🥰 Do you love farm animals? The Random Ranch - Educational Animal Sanctuary is not only a safe haven for a menagerie of animals, but we are also focused on educating our community about caring for animals with an emphasis on the reality of the requirements, time and dedication that it truly takes to care for barnyard friends!!
📍We are located 15-minutes from downtown Castle Rock, CO on the west side.
🤩 Ideally, these amazing candidates will be passionate about animals, fundraising, and event planning, and will be our boots on the ground to seek out potential sponsorship partners!

✅ Experienced with online fundraising
✅ Proficient in creative writing
✅ Grant writing experience
✅ Yoga instructor
✅ Horse trainer (we could host a clinic!)
✅ Photography - we have many needs for this at events. (Could boost your business too!)
✅ Artist that could put on an event as a fundraiser
✅ Marketing/website guru
✅ Experience with mental health advocacy and animals
✅ Served on a board before

Consider grabbing a group of friends and “Get Your Ranch On” by hosting your own event to raise money for The Random Ranch Animal Sanctuary. We strive for $500-$1000+ for up to 2-hours. Some ideas:
“Book Club in the Barn!" | “Bunco in the Barn” | “Cocktails with Cows” | “Sunset with Horses”
You name it, and we can provide the venue with incredible scenery alongside the menagerie of animals who appreciate your support!

✅ We have 150+ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews from our local community members.
✅ We have been awarded “Best Children’s Farm” in our community.
✅ We have been awarded “The Sustainability Award” as a result of our pilot program and continued partnership with Costco to reduce landfill waste with expired product that can feed farm animals.
✅ Your business and our partners will be mentioned and tagged in ALL OUR SOCIAL MEDIA posts for 6-12 months! We post 3-5X/week with almost 2K followers.
✅ We will include clickable links on our website to your business pages! In peak season June-December we average 4K hits on our website.
✅ As an onsite chore volunteer, you will learn about forming connections with living creatures; learn about caring for creatures 'great and small', from 5 lb chickens and 30lb - 200lb goats to 1700lb horses, as well as friendly cows & donkeys. You will develop confidence & a sense of accomplishment through work that makes a difference and develop skills and knowledge that translate to life beyond the ranch. *We do require 3-4hrs/every week minimum due to training aspects. Your typical day will involve 2-hours of chores, with the balance of time spent bonding with the animals. Tasks include: mucking the paddocks, sweeping the stalls, cleaning waterers & chicken pen, helping lend a hand on small projects, and grooming animals, all while having a great time with an insanely beautiful mountain backdrop. You have the opportunity to get up close and personal with all the animals if you desire. Ages 13+

Ranch work is hard. Manual labor, dust and dirt, sun, wind and heat, cold and snow. Animals depending on you for food, water, care, and safety. Dozens or more of all kinds of anonymous faces looking to you to get their needs met. The Random Ranch is all of the above with a difference. Every animal has a name, and a story of need. Chickens that run up wanting to be held. Horses eager to nuzzle when they see you, goats anxiously waiting at the fence for a treat. Greetings from guardian dogs that protect them all. Meeting their needs, giving them life… and getting the same in return. Volunteering at The Random Ranch is easy.

Every day that I go to The Random Ranch is a ‘best day’! After retiring from many years in education, teaching and counseling, I was looking for something meaningful to do with my time. Then a friend told me about Amy and The Random Ranch, so I reached out. She gave me a chance as a volunteer, and since then, I’ve learned that Amy does so much more than just giving a home to animals who have experienced neglect or abuse or simply found themselves needing someplace new to live. She also gives people (volunteers, home schoolers, summer camp kids, and others) a place to learn and grow, a place to find the peace of mind that comes from honest, meaningful, and respectful connections to living creatures. She patiently guides us in developing knowledge and new skills and always makes sure everyone is having fun – both people and animals. I wish everyone knew about The Random Ranch and could support the care that Amy gives to so many.
